Cedar Rapids golf courses opening Friday
CEDAR RAPIPDS - Gardner, Jones and Twin Pines golf courses will open for the 2012 season on Friday at 8 a.m., weather permitting (no frost).
Play will continue through the month of March as the weather allows. Course availability and cart rentals are subject to daily conditions.
The mild weather has left the golf courses in very good preseason condition. For daily conditions, golfers are encouraged to visit www.playcedarrapidsgolf.com or call their local clubhouse. Golf also may sign up on the website for the Cedar Rapids Golf texting service to receive information about course conditions and golf specials.
It may not look like this yet, but Twin Pines is among the municipal golf courses that will open Friday in Cedar Rapids. (The Gazette)
