C.R. Prairie leads 4A boys XC rankings

The Cedar Rapids Prairie boys cross country team is ranked No. 1 in Class 4A by the Iowa Association of Track Coaches. Among other top-ranked area teams are the Decorah girls in 3A and Iowa Mennonite in 1A.Iowa City West girls are ranked fourth, while the West boys are fifth. Crosstown rival Iowa City High is ranked second in girls and 10th for boys. Cedar Rapids Washington is ninth and 10th in boys and girls, respectively. Linn-Mar is 11th in both polls. Marion is fourth in the 3A boys rankings.Mount Vernon standout Connor Smock is top-ranked in the boys' 3A rankings. Bill Spencer of IMS holds the same spot in 1A.Union's Ashley Frush is ranked first in the girls' 2A rankings. City High has four individuals in the top eight of the girls 4A rankings, including No. 3 Rebecca Rethwisch.Top-ranked Prairie is led by senior Matt Stocker, who is ranked 12th.
