CEDAR RAPIDS JEFFERSON 75, CLINTON 20 - Jarrod Utoff scored a game high 29 points and pulled down 10 rebounds last night to lead Cedar Rapids Jefferson to a 75-20 victory over Clinton in a season-opening boys' basketball game in Cedar Rapids.Clinton was scoreless in the third quarter, and Jefferson led 64-10 heading into the final periodAlec Saunders chipped in with 13 points for the J-Hawksw, Tyler Meiborg added 12.
CEDAR VALLEY CHRISTIAN 72, GALENA (ILL.) TRI-STATE CHRISTIAN 26 - Will Mulbach scored 14 points and pulled down nine boards off the bench to lead Cedar Valley Christian to a season-opening victory. Evan Koch added 10 points for the Huskies.
LISBON 58, WEST LIBERTY 57 - Jake Hendricks made two free throws with 12.5 seconds to play to lift Lisbon past West Liberty last night on the road.Hendricks finished with a team-high 14 points for the Lions, while Jordan Bahl added 13 points and Ben Knake 12.Jordan Myers led the Comets with a game-high 19 points.
