Bowling with a three-year-old

I hadn't used my Here's The Deal coupon for six games and shoes at the Cedar Rapids Bowling Center.
So last night my three-year-old and I went there. As you probably guessed it wasn't about who would win, but about having fun.
We did have that. Some of the highlights - many of them comical (in my opinion) - from the hour and a half of bowling:
- After attempting several different techniques of throwing the bowling ball she settled on getting on her knees and pushing it down the lane from there.
- Her pushes' speeds ranged anywhere from the ball only making it to halfway down the lane to 2 miles per hour.
- What happened to the one that didn't make it down the lane, you ask? I gently threw my ball toward it to give it a nudge. Both balls were then rolling toward the pins and ended up bowling a strike! Well, at least she got credit for a strike. :)
- After pushing the ball down the lane, she'd stand there, looking down lane, expectantly waiting to see how many pins she'd knock down. (Usually 1-3.) The problem was at times that the ball took a bit to get to the pins and she lost interest and came to talk to me.
- I only used the bumpers one time. And that was by mistake. Honest!
Overall, lots of fun! I'd recommend it for a daughter-dad activity.
