As part of our many journeys covering sports, we encounter interesting, impromptu moments, whether it's in Iowa City or elsewhere. This week I'm throwing out a few random pictures and videos from the most recent college sports season. Here are a few:

Iowa men's basketball coach Fran McCaffery shares a laugh with NBA legend and current broadcaster Reggie Miller along with broadcasters Len Elmore and Rachel Nichols during an NCAA Tournament practice on March 18, 2014 in Dayton, Ohio.
Students and fans are wrapped around Hilton Coliseum perhaps a quarter-mile deep about three hours before the annual Iowa-Iowa State men's basketball game on Dec. 13, 2013 in Ames, Iowa. It was perhaps the most-awaited game in series history, and the Cyclones prevailed 85-82.
An aquarium at Paradise Island, Bahamas displays logos of all eight teams participating in the Battle 4 Atlantis on Nov. 30, 2013.
The sports book on Paradise Island aired the Iowa-Nebraska football game on two big screens on Nov. 29, 2013. The majority of fans in the sports book were Iowa fans traveling to see the Hawkeyes' men's basketball team. Several dozen Kansas fans — who were there to watch the Jayhawks — chose to root for Nebraska.
A badger overlooks patrons at Dotty Dumpling's Dowry in downtown Madison, Wis., in the hours before the Iowa-Wisconsin men's basketball game on Jan. 5, 2014. Between the burger and cheese curds here (it's morally irresponsible to eat healthy in Madison), I couldn't eat anything for the next 20 hours.
My favorite comedy remains 'Dumb and Dumber' and these Iowa State fans were tremendous as Harry Dunn and Lloyd Christmas during the Iowa-Iowa State men's basketball game on Dec. 13, 2013 at Hilton Coliseum in Ames.
Hawkeye Report publisher Tom Kakert and Hawkeye Drive publisher Brendan Stiles are both busy and pensive during Iowa's 92-59 win against Fairleigh Dickinson on Dec. 9, 2013 at Carver-Hawkeye Arena.
