Aaron's Dream Machine Toyota driver Trevor Bayne, of Knoxville, Tennessee, won the poll qualifying with a speed of 133.266 at the Iowa Speedway in Newton for the U.S. Cellular 250 Nationwide NASCAR Series on Saturday, July 31, 2010.
Trevor Bayne continues to heat up as summer progresses. Bayne captured his third straight pole by clocking the fastest qualifying time for the NASCAR Nationwide Series U.S. Cellular 250 at Iowa Speedway in Newton on Saturday.
Before the race at Iowa Speedway, Bayne had jumped from 15th to ninth in points after consecutive top-5 finishes at Gateway and ORP, where he won the pole as well. He has three top-5 finishes this season.
“I think our team has been really strong the last few races,” Bayne said during Friday's press conference. “Especially at these short tracks and that's why I look forward to coming here with all the momentum that we have.”
