Boys:
Taylor leads City High to home win -- Ladarius Taylor scored 14 points and pulled down seven rebounds to lead Iowa City High past Dubuque Hempstead, 49-40, in a conference win at home. Luke Posivio added 11 points and five boards for the Little Hawks (5-3, 3-2 MVC).
Avery Butler had 17 points and nine rebounds to lead Hempstead (1-5, 1-4 MVC).
DUBUQUE WAHLERT 72, C.R. PRAIRIE 55 — Josh Carter scored a game-high 22 points to lead Dubuque Wahlert in a Mississippi Valley Conference game at Cedar Rapids. Jared Walker scored 17 points, while Cordell Pemsl added 11 for the Golden Eagles (7-1, 5-0 MVC). Cal Clark scored 15 points to pace the Prairie (2-6, 0-4 MVC) offense.
SOLON 77, MARION 64 — Quinn Cannoy scored 20 points to lead three players in double-figure scoring as Marion lost on the road. Craig Engle added 18 points and Daly Quinn chipped in 16 points for the Indians. Nick Sherman led Solon with 19 points and Ethan Ahern scored 17 points.
CEDAR FALLS 71, LINN-MAR 62 — Jordan Bohannon scored 19 points and made three 3-pointers to lead Linn-Mar in the loss at Cedar Falls. Nic Uhlir chipped in 13 points and Ryan Schmidt grabbed six boards for the Lions.
IOWA CITY REGINA 60, WEST BRANCH 41 — Drew Cook scored a game-high 25 points and pulled down eight rebounds to lead Iowa City Regina to a River Valley Conference road victory.
MIDLAND 58, CEDAR VALLEY CHRISTIAN 13 — Tom Scroggs led the Huskies with six points and Mike Scroggs added four in the loss at Wyoming. Dalton Harms paced Midland with 18 points.
Girls:
Prairie pulls away from Wahlert -- Cyerra Hutchins scored a team-high 13 points and added three steals for Cedar Rapids Prairie in a 48-35 win over Dubuque Wahlert in Dubuque.
Madison Dellamuth finished with 11 points and dished out five assists for the Prairie Hawks (5-4, 4-3 MVC).
Jade Lynch led all scorers with 17 points for Dubuque Wahlert (1-8, 1-6 MVC).
CEDAR FALLS 59, LINN-MAR 43 — Katie Sommer led Linn-Mar with 12 points and pulled down five rebounds. Her sister, Kristie Sommer, added 10 points for the Lions. Madison Wood had 27 points and grabbed 13 rebounds for Cedar Falls, which led 27-15 at halftime.
IOWA CITY HIGH 58, DUBUQUE HEMPSTEAD 39 — Haley Lorenzen led all scorers with 24 points as Class 5A top-ranked Iowa City High won a Mississippi Valley Conference game at Dubuque. Courtney Joens added 23 points for the Little Hawks (13-0, 7-0 MVC).
IOWA CITY WEST 69, DUBUQUE SENIOR 47 — Mikaela Morgan knocked down three treys and finished with 25 points to lead West past Dubuque Senior (1-9, 0-7 MVC) at home. Regan Stiegleder and Jessie Harder added 10 points apiece for the Women of Troy and improved to 4-6 overall and 3-3 in the MVC.
MARION 62, SOLON 51 — Michalyn Mohr scored 26 points and Amanda Sahm added 24 to lead all scorers and the Indians (2-7, 2-4 Wamac) to a win at home. Solon (4-6, 1-6 Wamac) was led by Rylee Smith's 13 points.
MIDLAND 65, CEDAR VALLEY CHRISTIAN 26 — Shelby Hembera led all scorers with 24 points for Cedar Valley and also led the team with 10 rebounds. Alaina Martensen scored 16 for the Eagles in the win.
