IOWA CITY - Tiffany Goldwire has been named a women's basketball recruiting assistant at the University of Iowa.
'Tiffany is a welcome addition to our staff,” Iowa Coach Lisa Bluder said in a release. 'She will be helping us with recruiting organization. Tiffany has had great experience as a graduate assistant at Missouri Western, and we look forward to having her as a member of our Hawkeye family.”
Goldwire's sister, Lacey, is entering her second season as an Iowa assistant coach.
Tiffany Goldwire played basketball at Northern Oklahoma College for two years, and was named the Region II MVP. She then played at Oklahoma City University, winning the 2012 National championship at the NAIA-DI level.
Goldwire was team captain, an honorable mention All-American and second team all-conference selection (2012) at OKC University. She received a bachelor's degree from OKC University in 2012.
Goldwire then attended Missouri Western, worked as a graduate assistant for its women's basketball program and received a Master's degree in sports and fitness management in May.
Iowa will return 10 letterwinners from a team that went 27-9 in 2014.
