Iowa City West moved up, Cedar Rapids Washington moved down. Waterloo East moved in, Dubuque Wahlert moved out. Those were the products of two important Class 4A Week 8 results.West upset Washington, 14-13, at Kingston Stadium, moving the Trojans up to No. 13 in the latest 4A East playoff projections. Washington slipped to No. 9.East beat Dubuque Wahlert, 25-21, which will likely get the Trojans in if they win this week. They play winless Dubuque Senior.Wahlert's loss also cost Iowa City High. It damaged the Little Hawks' strength of schedule and moves Bettendorf into the No. 1 slot.So here are final projections. The
BC Moore computer model has Cedar Rapids Xavier beating Linn-Mar next week, so we'll go that direction as well.

13. IOWA CITY WEST (currently 4-4, projected 4-5)Projected points: 335.
14. BURLINGTON (currently 3-5, projected 4-5).Projected points: 330. Beat Davenport Central head-to-head.
15. DAVENPORT CENTRAL (currently 4-4, projected 4-5).Projected points: 330. Lost to Burlington head-to-head.
16. WATERLOO EAST (currently 2-6, projected 3-6).Projected points: 300.The model has Cedar Rapids Prairie, Clinton, Dubuque Wahlert and Waterloo West at 2-7.So, with all of this in mind, here would be the first-round pairings ... if all goes according to the computer's plan:
TOP HALF:#16 Waterloo East (3-6) at #1 Bettendorf (9-0)#9 Cedar Rapids Washington (6-3) at #8 Dubuque Hempstead (7-2)#12 Cedar Rapids Kennedy (5-4) at #5 Cedar Rapids Xavier (7-2)#13 Iowa City West (4-5) at #4 North Scott (8-1)

If Linn-Mar wins ...If Linn-Mar defeated Cedar Rapids Xavier Friday, here are the adjusted seedings:1. Bettendorf, 2. Iowa City High, 3. Cedar Falls, 4. North Scott, 5. Linn-Mar, 6. Davenport Assumption, 7. Dubuque Hempstead, 8. Cedar Rapids Xavier. 9-16 remain the same.
