Scouting Report: The last time these teams played was in the 2013 4A state championship game. West won in a rout, 54-36, handing Bett its only loss. The Bulldogs' lone defeat this season was to Davenport Central, 54-51. West has losses to Dubuque Wahlert, Dubuque Senior and Minneapolis DeLaSalle (in overtime. The Trojans, of course, are two-time defending 4A champs ... Both of these clubs have size, good guards and play good defense. West's Wyatt Lohaus (a Northern Iowa signee) shook off a case of the flu to score 22 points in his team's 69-51 quarterfinal win over Southeast Polk. Wing David DiLeo averages 12.6 points per game and is shooting 54 percent from the field and 95.6 percent from the free-throw line. Lohaus is a 89.2 shooter from the stripe ... Bett's 6-foot-7 senior Nicholas Baer was the Mississippi Athletic Conference's player of the year and had 19 points in a 64-33 quarterfinal blowout of Urbandale. The Bulldogs also have a couple of players who have signed with Division II college programs in forward Kendall Jacks (Wayne State, Neb.) and Cole Clearman (Missouri Western) ... Should be a fun, intense game that could go either way.
