[Women's Soccer] Poellet nabs all-conference honor

MOUNT PLEASANT, Iowa -- Senior defender Dana Poellet, who scored a goal and was one of Mount Mercy's best all-around players, received honorable mention all-conference when the 2011 Midwest Collegiate Conference women's soccer awards were announced this week.
A total of 30 student-athletes were recognized by the league. Grand View junior forward Jordyn Thompson was named the MCC Player of the Year by a vote of league coaches. Iowa Wesleyan freshman forward Erin Lucido earned Newcomer of the Year honors, and Grand View's Ventsi Stoimorov was tabbed as the MCC Coach of the Year.
