[Women's Soccer] Mustang women fall to Grand View
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa -- League-leading Grand View knocked off Mount Mercy, 3-0, in a Midwest Collegiate Conference women's soccer game on Senior Day Saturday at Lower Kingston Field.
The Vikings (11-5-0, 7-1-0 MCC) led, 2-0, at halftime and added a third goal late in the contest to earn a share of the MCC regular season title and the top seed in the conference tournament.
Mount Mercy (4-11-1, 2-5-1 MCC) will be seeded eighth and takes on Grand View again in the MCC quarterfinals on Saturday, Oct. 29, in Des Moines. The Mustangs wrap up the regular season with non-conference matches at Culver-Stockton (Mo.) on Monday at 1:00 p.m. in Canton, Mo., and at Wisconsin-Platteville on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. in Platteville, Wis.
