Kiernan lands on all-conference list

MOUNT PLEASANT, Iowa -- Mount Mercy sophomore forward Kandice Kiernan was named honorable mention all-Midwest Collegiate for the 2010 season, the league announced this week.

Kiernan was Mount Mercy's leading scorer this fall with a team-high 10 goals and four assists for 24 points. In two seasons with the Mustangs, she has scored 21 goals with eight assists in 37 games.

The league's coaches also identified three award winners. Ashley Dexter of St. Ambrose was named MCC Player of the Year, Steph Wisen of Viterbo (Wis.) was voted MCC Newcomer of the Year, and Ashford's Mick Regan was named the MCC Coach of the Year.
