Boede Rahe has overcome adversity to become an ace for Kirkwood’s baseball team. He pitched a complete game for his sixth victory of the season in the Eagles’ 13-3 win in six innings over Northeast (Neb.) Community College.

Sophomore Kiya has swung a hot bat this spring for the Eagles. She was named NJCAA DIvision II Player of the Week and followed it up with four hits and nine RBIs in a double sweep of Ellsworth Wednesday at home.
Peyton Johnson was a first-team All-American in her first season at Kirkwood. In her second season, Johnson has continue to produce and impress for the Eagles softball team.

Cal Sullivan has emerged as a leader on and off the baseball diamond for Kirkwood. He leads the Eagles in multiple offensive categories and is reaping the rewards of his hard work. He had five hits, including two home runs, in a home doubleheader sweep of Iowa Lakes on Friday.
Cornell’s Elise Oleson doesn’t mind the pressure when she has the chance to help her team win. She connected on a grand slam in the bottom of the sixth for a 4-1 victory over Coe in the opener of a softball doubleheader at home. Kohawks rebounded for a 5-4 win in the nightcap.

Coe’s Bryce Parke posted three straight victories to reach the 133-pound final at the NCAA Division III Wrestling Championships on Saturday in Providence, R.I. He earned a runner-up finish and was one of four Kohawk All-Americans this year, including his brother, Brayden, who placed fifth at 125.
