[Mount Mercy] Mount Mercy announces plans for outdoor athletic complex

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa -- Mount Mercy University has announced the completion of the purchase of Terex property to develop a multi-purpose athletic facility. The property, located at 909 17th Street NE in Cedar Rapids, consists of 36.4 acres, of which 22 acres are now owned by the university. Mount Mercy filed a rezoning application to the City of Cedar Rapids in February to begin the transition from industrial to office/service, which will allow for the property to become a space for athletics.
