Marie-Lidd posts double-double in road loss to Loras.

Dubuque - Cornell rallied from a double-digit deficit in the second half Saturday against Loras but couldn't complete the comeback in a 62-50 Iowa Conference loss in Dubuque.
It was the third straight setback for the Rams (6-6 overall, 1-4 IIAC), who dropped an 80-54 home decision Wednesday to three-time defending league champion Simpson.
The Rams were outscored 39-16 from the foul line in the two games last week. Cornell hit just 16-of-33 foul shots.
The Rams gave themselves a chance at Loras after falling behind 28-17 at halftime. Cornell pulled to within 48-46 on a layup by Amanda Proczak (Storm Lake/Storm Lake) with 5:21 remaining. The Duhawks (7-7, 3-2 IIAC) responded with a 9-0 run before the Rams hit another field goal – a 3-pointer by Alicia West (Waupun, Wis./Plymouth) – with 1:06 to go.
Cornell sophomore center Camille Marie-Lidd (Marion/Cedar Rapids Washington) collected her first double-double of the season with 10 points and 11 rebounds. Kathryn Schilling (Dubuque/Dubuque Senior) hit a pair of 3-point goals and finished with 10 points. Proczak contributed six points and six rebounds in 19 minutes off the bench. Caitlin Bisinger (Monmouth/Midland) added six points and four steals.
The Rams were held to 29.3 percent shooting and connected on just 8-of-17 free throws. Cornell won the battle on the boards, 42-39, although turned the ball over 27 times.
Conference co-leader Simpson (10-3, 4-0 IIAC) raced to a 50-27 halftime lead against the Rams in a mid-week game which saw 22 players score. The Storm knocked down 13 3-point goals and limited Cornell to 32.3 percent shooting from the floor.
Bisinger came off the bench to score a team-high 11 points for the Rams. Marie-Lidd totaled nine points and nine rebounds. Freshman Renee Tzeo (Portland, Ore./Reynolds) chipped in eight points, four rebounds and three assists.
Rams in the rankings – Marie-Lidd ranks among the IIAC statistical leaders in several categories, including offensive rebounds (1st, 3.0 rpg), scoring (2nd, 15.5 ppg), rebounds (3rd, 7.4 rpg), blocked shots (4th, 1.83 bpg) and field goal percentage (5th, 50.7).
Marie-Lidd climbed into 15th place on Cornell's career scoring list over the weekend, currently with 619 points.
Cornell ranks second in the IIAC in field goal percentage defense at 37.4. The Rams have held all but two of their opponents this season under 43.0 percent shooting from the field.
