Kirkwood women's basketball back in national title game

HARRISON, Ark. — Trailing by five after three quarters, the Kirkwood women's basketball team rallied in the final frame Friday night to post a 77-74 victory over Highland (Kan.) and advance to the NJCAA Division II women's basketball national championship game.
The Eagles (34-3) will face Monroe (N.Y.), which beat Mesa (Ariz.) in the other semifinal, Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
Awal Ajak led Kirkwood with 14 points to go with 13 from Olivia Usher and 12 from Tayana Wilson. Leah Robinson added nine points, while Arika Wooldridge chipped in with eight.
