Coe softball receives at-large bid to NCAA Tournament

Coe, Cornell and Luther are heading to the NCAA III softball tournament.
Cornell (Midwest Conference) and Luther (Iowa Conference) were automatic qualifiers after winning their conference tournaments. Coe was an at-large pick after winning the Iowa Conference regular-season title.
Cornell (26-19) and Luther (35-8) are in the Decorah district along with Saint Benedict and Lake Forest.
Coe (26-12) will be in the Wisconsin-Whitewater district along with Benedictine, Ill., and Trine.
Central College also made the field and will play in the St. Thomas (Minn.) district.
Action begins Friday and runs through Sunday in Decorah. The St. Thomas district is Thursday through Saturday.
