Tomaso’s Pizza relocates Hiawatha restaurant

HIAWATHA — Tomaso’s Pizza has moved its Hiawatha location.

The small local pizza chain quietly moved from its former location at 1061 N. Center Point Rd. to 1950 Blairs Ferry Rd., Unit 108, at the beginning of January.

But they didn’t take their equipment to the new location, according to a new listing. An online auction from Backes Auctioneers, which goes live at 10 a.m. on Jan. 20 will give buyers the chance to bid on a rotisserie smoker, deck pizza ovens, pizza making tables, dining tables and other commercial kitchen essentials.

Viewing for the auction will be available at the former Tomaso’s location from 1 to 3 p.m. on Jan. 19.

The Hiawatha location is owned separately from Tomaso’s Pizza locations in Marion and Cedar Rapids locations.
