IOWA CITY — An Iowa City favorite is making a comeback.
The Union Bar & Grill has been revived by social media posts announcing its return.
“We couldn’t stay away,” the post said. “See you soon, new location, same vibes!”
The popular bar known for its lively environment, live music and birthday pitchers, previously located at 121 E. College St., closed toward the end of 2020 after a 27-year run.
Soon, it will return to 118 S. Clinton St. A timeline for opening has not yet been announced.
