Texas Roadhouse to host Special Olympics fundraiser

Those wanting to help round up funds for the Special Olympics have a chance this week.
Iowa’s Texas Roadhouse restaurants invite the public to a fundraiser on Thursday, April 4, as police officers, athletes and volunteers serve guests and collect donations at “Tip-A-Cop” events across the state.
The fundraiser, from 4 to 8 p.m., includes Eastern Iowa locations:
- Cedar Rapids (2605 Edgewood Rd. SW)
- Cedar Falls (5715 University Ave.)
- Coralville (2520 Corridor Way)
- Davenport (4005 E. 53rd St.)
- Dubuque (845 Wacker Dr.)
With 21 sports, the Special Olympics provides training and competition for children and adults with intellectual disabilities across all 99 counties of Iowa. Sports are offered to more than 14,000 athletes and partners throughout the year.
