Sweet Cheesecake opening first store in Marion

MARION — A home-based cheesecake maker is opening her first location in uptown Marion this Saturday.
Sweet Cheesecake, opened by owner Nicki Guild in 2020, is welcoming customers in-person from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday for its soft opening at 1360 Seventh Ave., across the parking lot from Pizza Hut.
Guild, a former paraeducator, started the business after discovering her talent for making cheesecake during the pandemic, when she made a cheesecake for the first time. She’s since amassed a loyal following of more than 8,000 followers online with her home-based business.
Permanent operating hours for the new business will be announced at a later date.
