Some NutriSport locations rebrand with Hawkeyes’ Hannah Stuelke

A smoothie and fitness-forward eatery is rebranding some of its locations in Linn County — but not all of them.

NutriSport locations on Edgewood Road NW and downtown Cedar Rapids, which opened two years ago, revealed a new name last week: Stack Wellness Cafe.

Amplifying the new brand’s excitement is the cafe’s name, image and likeness deal with Iowa Hawkeyes Women’s Basketball forward player Hannah Stuelke, who will be promoting Stack.

The new brand will retain its smoothie flavors and introduce some new food offering as it expands with new spots, including one in North Liberty. An opening date for the new location has not been revealed.

But the original NutriSport & Smoothie location in Marion, which has separate ownership, will continue operations as usual under the NutriSport name.

“Our loyal customers need not worry — we’re still here and for the long haul,” said owners Anthony and Julie Carfagna in a statement. “We’re committed to continuing to offer NutriSport smoothies, salads, wraps and bowls at the original location with our original name.”
