Peter Piper’s pickle shop opens in NewBo

CEDAR RAPIDS — Finally, an answer to the age old question.
If Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers, where’s the peck of pickled peppers Peter Piper picked?
While there are no peppers, there are plenty of pickles at Peter Piper’s, a new shop that opened July 1 in NewBo City Market.
Owner Bob Szczesniak, who has been involved with Sykora Bakery in Czech Village, has been making pickles since 2016 upon request for friends and family. Now, they’re available to the public.
Varieties include Polish dill, spicy dill, Bloody Mary dill, bread and butter, and fermented garlic dill, alongside several others.
