IOWA CITY — Pancheros Mexican Grill is rebuilding its Riverside Drive location in Iowa City ahead of the site’s 25th anniversary.
The location, 965 S. Riverside Drive, temporarily closed starting Monday. It anticipates reopening by the end of the year.
Upon reopening, the renovated location will offer enhanced digital service for mobile order customers with a second-make line, simplifying online order pickup and streamlining overall operations. The Iowa brand’s digital sales account for almost 29 percent of its sales across restaurant, making them a “top priority” to introduce second-make lines across the chain, Pancheros said in a news release.
The new build on Riverside Drive also will feature an expanded parking lot.
“Our brand got its start in Iowa City, and we are extremely grateful to our loyal guests who have made Pancheros what it is today,” said Rodney Anderson, president and founder of Pancheros. “Our goal is to continue investing in this community and its people, and that’s what we are aiming to do with the rebuild of our Riverside location.”
