New tea, gourmet pie eatery plans Cedar Rapids opening

CEDAR RAPIDS — A new tea and pie company is planning a Cedar Rapids opening soon.

The Grand White Rabbit Tea Company, a new mall kiosk concept planning its launch this year in both Cedar Rapids and Fredericksburg, Virginia, plans to open its first Iowa location in late June or early July.

Its Cedar Rapids location will be located in Lindale Mall, 4444 First Ave. NE.

The concept is focused on high-quality teas and ingredients, and “real flavors,” that offer “a fun alternative to the usual.”

“We’re all about bringing a modern, elevated tea experience to the community, paired with our signature gourmet hand pies,” said Summer Stevens, a representative for the restaurant. “It’s all about a little discovery, a little delight, and a lot of delicious in a whimsical grab-and-go style.”

A menu for the new concept is not yet available, but photos on the company’s website appear to show an array of both savory and sweet hand pies, as well as boba and blended tea options.
