CEDAR RAPIDS — Another bakery is making its debut in NewBo City Market.
Bread and Buttered Bakery, opened July 16 by Nikki and Amber Lynn, specializes in home-baked goods including sourdough bread, sourdough cinnamon rolls, sticky pecan buns and chocolate chip cookies.
Their menu includes extensive bread offerings, including roasted rosemary and garlic, “The Triple Cheesy” and jalapeno cheddar made with candied peppers.
It also includes organic, “gluten friendly” varieties of granola treats in flavors like maple bourbon pecan, honey and oat, and chocolate chip.
The couple started the business earlier this year from home before moving into NewBo City Market. They moved their business into the stall previously held by Anh’s Bread Therapy, which departed to open a full-service location in the Czech Village in May.
