Mikey’s Ice Cream & Grill opens in former Fairfax Dairy Queen

FAIRFAX — A Fairfax Dairy Queen has been dethroned and succeeded by a locally-owned ice cream shop and restaurant.
Mikey’s Ice Cream & Grill started posting photos of the restaurant’s renovation at 513 Williams Blvd. in May. The Dairy Queen previously located there appears to have closed earlier in 2023.
Mike’s opened on June 7 to serve a variety of ice cream offerings plus grill food like cheeseburgers, Philly cheesesteak sandwiches and chicken strips.
