Midtown Reserve opens new bar, lounge in Cedar Rapids

CEDAR RAPIDS — Midtown Reserve has expanded with a new bar and lounge next to its upscale, reservation-only steakhouse.

The Bar Room, opened July 19, serves up luxe cocktails like The Drunken Monkey and a salted caramel espresso martini, alongside a full wine list.

Its bar fare menu offers several appetizer and entree options ranging from $12 to $28. Appetizers include truffle fries, Cajun shrimp, and crab-stuffed deviled eggs. Entrees include a wagyu burger, Korean fried chicken sandwich, lobster roll and the Millionaire Potato stuffed with lobster, crab, shrimp lobster bisque and Cajun sour cream.

The intimate underground setting features a backlit bar, booths and plush seating.

The Bar Room is open Monday through Saturday starting at 5 p.m.
