Midnight Smoker opens new barbecue in Cedar Rapids

CEDAR RAPIDS — A new barbecue restaurant has opened in NewBo City Market.
Owner Greg Stoll opened Midnight Smoker BBQ on Oct. 7. Stoll also has owned Skippy’s Custom Tile in Cedar Rapids for 22 years.
His barbecue has started with a smaller menu of sandwiches with pulled pork or beef brisket and sides like Carolina coleslaw and potato salad, with the option to buy meat by the pound.
Photos of Stoll’s barbecue show promise for many more types of meats as the restaurant grows.
