CEDAR RAPIDS — A new Mexican restaurant is replacing one that went out of business a few months ago.
Mextizo, a new venture from the owners of Porfirio’s Mexican Restaurant in Anamosa, Tequilero in Vinton and Cafe Tacuba in Cedar Rapids, will be opening in March 2024, according to GLD Commercial real estate group.
Their location, 1140 Blairs Ferry Rd. NE, will fill the vacancy left by the closure of El Bajio 2 in November. El Bajio continues to operate its original location in southwest Cedar Rapids.
