Mexican restaurant Mi Lindo Vallarta closes in Cedar Rapids

A Mexican restaurant near the downtown and MedQuarter areas of Cedar Rapids has closed shortly after it opened.
Mi Lindo Vallarta, opened at 529 Fifth Ave. SE in August 2024 by Arturo and Rubi Ramirez, closed on Oct. 4.
In a city with about 30 Mexican options, the restaurant by the father-daughter duo offered a niche with Puerto Vallarta cuisine.
Different from the standard central Mexico focus in many Mexican restaurants, Mi Lindo Vallarta’s menu focused more on seafood with a unique blend of spices and peppers.
