Marion announces annual food, pub crawl

MARION — Uptown Marion has announced its 11th “Eat. Drink. & Be Marion: Food & Pub Craw Fundraiser.”

Tickets for the annual event, scheduled for July 10 from 5:30-9:30 p.m., are available online now at uptownmarion.com/events-calendar.

Participants can sip and sample as they stroll while supporting a good cause. Last year’s event raised over $17,000 to support the ongoing revitalization and beautification of the Uptown Marion district — a Main Street Iowa District.

“This is one of our most beloved events, and for good reason,” said Lacey Schroeder, director of Uptown Marion. “It’s a night that brings the community together in support of our local businesses and continued improvements to our district all while having a great time.”

The self-paced crawl, starting at 1070 Seventh Ave., includes live entertainment and access to shops during extended shopping hours. This year’s restaurants and food-oriented businesses include:

Tickets include a complimentary T-shirt, souvenir glass and access to exclusive deals, including $1 drink specials at participating businesses.

Pre-sale pricing is available until July 1. Participants must be 21 or older.
