International Banquet in Cedar Rapids celebrates 50 years of diverse flavors at Coe College

CEDAR RAPIDS — Forget traveling around the world in 80 days — how about three hours?

This weekend, that will be possible as Coe College celebrates its 50th year of flavors from around the world through the annual International Banquet.

Community members are invited to join students and alumni as international students prepare buffet-style cuisine and entertainment from their home countries. The banquet, started in 1974, has become a time-honored tradition that highlights diverse experiences and cultures in the Coe College community.

The free banquet from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday, April 7, will be held at Gage Memorial Union on College Drive NE, near the corner of C Avenue NE.
