NORTH LIBERTY — A small Iowa energy bar chain will be waking up more Eastern Iowans soon.
Hyper Energy Bar, first introduced to the Corridor with its Iowa City space at 115 E. College St. in 2024, will soon be opening another location in North Liberty.
Its new location, 1695 Jordan St., is listed on its website as “coming soon.” The Daily Iowan reports the location will open in December.
The specialty drink café’s menu features coffee, infused energy drinks and smoothies.
Hyper’s Ped Mall spot in Iowa City marked its first expansion outside of its central Iowa home, where it has several locations across the greater Des Moines area.
It also marked one of the first locations to operate without a drive-thru. All of its other open locations have a small building footprint with drive-thrus, similar to many Scooter’s Coffee locations that have popped up around Iowa.
Hyper will soon have a total of 13 locations, including two in Nebraska and a planned location in Missouri.
