Football Pub Crawl planned for Czech Village in November

Oct. 25, 2022 5:00 am
CEDAR RAPIDS — Families Helping Families of Iowa, a Cedar Rapids nonprofit that helps foster children in Iowa, is hosting its first Football Pub Crawl on Nov. 10.
The crawl around the Czech Village will start at 2 p.m., with stops at Czech Town Station, Tornado’s Grub & Pub, The Red Frog, CJ’s Sports Bar & Grill and a fifth location to be determined.
Tickets, at $50 per person, include two drink vouchers. Guests are encouraged to show team spirit by wearing a football team jersey or T-shirt for their preferred team. The event includes games at each stop and a raffle at the end.
“We wanted to come up with a new fundraiser idea for the organization, and a pub crawl seemed like a fun way to spend an afternoon,” said Melissa Carlson, executive director of Families Helping Families of Iowa. “This event supports five of our local establishments and local youths living in foster care.”
