CEDAR RAPIDS — The Edison Pub & Eatery has quietly closed in northeast Cedar Rapids to make room for a new restaurant.
The popular restaurant, previously open near Blairs Ferry Road at 475 Northland Ave. NE, was discovered closed by customers visiting last week.
“Thank you for 6 amazing years, Cedar Rapids! We’re officially closed as our ownership steps into retirement,” a sign on the door reads.
A similar Facebook post announced the closure last week before the restaurant’s page was deleted. It’s unclear what day the restaurant closed.
The former owners announced that Tuscany Grill, a new Italian and Mediterranean cuisine, will be opening in its place this month.
Tuscany Grill’s social media describes the concept as blending “Italian tradition with Mediterranean soul” through pastas, grilled entrées and “fresh, vibrant dishes in a warm, welcoming space.”
