Dodge Street Coffeehouse announces new location

IOWA CITY — An Iowa City cafe has announced a new location.

Next month, Dodge Street Coffeehouse will be moving to South Market District at 947 U.S. Highway 6 in Iowa City, according to a Sept. 14 social media post. The move comes after participants in a survey “encouraged us to look for another location,” the cafe posted.

The cafe, opened by Kelly Elliott and Jamie Skinner in 2018, has closed its current location at 2790 N. Dodge St., according to Google listings. Skinner also owns Molly’s Cupcakes in Iowa City.

“It’s quite literally on the opposite side of town from our previous space, so we understand if we’re not on your route anymore! But we hope you stop by once in a while,” the post said. “We’re thrilled to form new relationships while reuniting with old regulars.”

In lieu of a drive-thru, the new location will offer curbside pickup with a system to order ahead.
