MARION — Dash Coffee Roasters, a coffee shop in Cedar Rapids’ Kingston Village, is expanding to a second location in Marion.
The cafe announced plans on Saturday to expand to the picturesque, 170-year-old building formerly home to Wit’s End Coffeehouse at 630 10th St. in Uptown Marion.
Wit’s End was purchased by Jen Christopherson in 2018. Christopherson put the business up for sale in 2019. The shop closed by the end of 2020.
Dash plans to open its second location by the end of this year.
Dash previously expanded to Iowa City’s Northside neighborhood in 2019, but that site closed in May 2021. Two former employees at that location opened Tru Coffee in its place, as Dash owner Rebecca Weinbrenner refocused on the Cedar Rapids flagship site.
