Chew on This: Kingston’s Steakhouse replaces Butcher Block in NE Cedar Rapids

CEDAR RAPIDS — Kingston’s Steakhouse and Event Venue has taken over the space formerly occupied by Butcher Block Steakhouse at Bowman Square in northeast Cedar Rapids.
Kingston’s, 568 Boyson Rd. NE, Suite 100, held a grand opening on Aug. 25. Owner Jade Luter also owns Daisy’s Garage at the Fountains, 5240 Edgewood Rd. NE.
It’s unclear when or why Butcher Block closed. Its last post on social media, advertising a happy hour, was on July 23.
The new restaurant’s menu includes a variety of steaks, sandwiches, burgers and salads. The 17,000 square foot venue includes two full bars, two full kitchens and a dance floor.
