Restaurant week menus for each participant will be revealed later this month.
From Feb. 20 through March 1, diners can enjoy exclusive offers and limited-time menus at participating restaurants. For the fifth year, Cedar Rapids Restaurant Week will run over 10 days, including two full weekends to enjoy new and special offerings.
With a lineup representing a wide range of cuisines and price points, this year’s list is slightly longer than last year’s list of participants, which numbered 19 restaurants. Restaurants selected from an application process by the Cedar Rapids Metro Economic Alliance met specific criteria, including being locally owned and operated.
The Fork & Knife Feast, the popular ticketed dinner that offered a one-stop shop for samples from participating restaurants, will not be returning this year. After making a comeback over the last two years from a pandemic suspension, the dinner will be replaced with something new this year.
Relish the Region, its replacement, promises to build a new tradition with an “expanded tasting experience,” in April. Details on the new event have not yet been released.
“The tasting event is set to be bigger, tastier, and even FOODIER to bring everyone together to sample more tasty local dishes and flavors,” the Cedar Rapids Metro Economic Alliance said in an email marketing the event.
