Jan. 3, 2024 8:05 am
CORALVILLE — Just six months after opening as a daytime cafe, bakery and deli, Barrett’s Quality Eats is scheduling dinner service.
With an Instagram post Dec. 20, the restaurant announced its After Dark Tour, a series of dinners “for warmth through the cold months” on Fridays in January, February and March
The schedule starts with a Midwest-themed dinner called “We’re Having Company,” on Jan. 12.
The other scheduled dinners are:
- “Milan & Beyond,” Northern Italian on Jan. 26
- “Pass a Good Time,” Creole on Feb. 9
- “Americans in Paris,” Bistro on Feb. 14
- “Supper Club,” with cocktails, Cesar salad and prime rib on March 1
- “St. Patties: Barrett’s County Mayo,” with a presumably Irish theme on March 15
Cory Barrett, owner and chef, said tickets will be sold as tables in sets of 2, 4 or 6 seats. Tickets, available online at barrettsallday.com, will be released for a couple of dinners at a time starting Dec. 30. Prices will range from $50 to $95 per person, varying by dinner date.
More detailed menus will be published as tickets are released.
Barrett, a former “Iron Chef” cast member and Food Network Spring Baking Championship winner, earned James Beard Foundation semifinalist nods for Rising Star Chef at Lola in Cleveland in 2008 and twice for Outstanding Pastry Chef in 2009 and 2010 at the same restaurant.
