Cedar Rapids Bank and Trust will demolish its Marion location at 700 25th St. and construct a new building at the site, the bank said in an email Tuesday.
The bank branch will close Friday and is expected to reopen in the spring 2022.
The bank will operate a mobile office at 2075 Seventh Ave. in Marion.
The temporary location, which will open Monday, June 28, will have “uninterrupted access to our lobby, drive-through, night drop and in-person appointments during construction,” according to the bank’s website.
The property with the existing building, which was built in 1985, was worth $675,000 in 2020, according to records from the Linn County Assessor’s Office.
The new facility will have more space for customers, a more accessible drive-through and improved energy efficiency, according to the website.
