Pryce Sandfort played minimal minutes last season as a true freshman for the Iowa men’s basketball team. But he bulked up in the offseason, says he has gained confidence and showed in Monday night’s season opener that he will play a significant role for the Hawkeyes.
A year after Kris Murray went from sixth man to offensive focal point, Payton Sandfort is working to take a similar jump in 2023-24. He also is staying competitive with his younger brother, Pryce.
Pryce Sandfort will join brother Payton in the Iowa men’s basketball program next season, following the Baers, McCafferys and Murrays.
