Letter: Do not cut funding for clean water

Clean water is essential to life. The human body is 96 percent water. If the government wants to improve health care, then start with clean water.

Do you like coffee and enjoy a beer? The main ingredient is clean water.

Do you want to enjoy our lakes for boating, fishing and swimming, but instead find the lakes stagnant with green algae and dead fish?

For state and federal governments to cut funding and destroy the work of the Environmental Protection Agency is an act of insanity.
