Podcast: On The Record talks Nicholas Luerkens case, sentencing

This week's On the Record talks about the case of Nicholas Luerkens, who was sentenced Friday in Linn County District Court. He was sentenced to life in prison without parole. A jury convicted Luerkens of first-degree murder last month. According to testimony, Luerkens, 33, plotted to kill former girlfriend 29-year-old Lynnsey Donald after following and harassing her for the last two months of her life.

The guests are Marion Police Chief Harry Daugherty and Det. Matt Jenatscheck. They talk about the investigation of the case and why the evidence helped prove premeditation and intent for the first-degree conviction.
