On The Record podcast: The arrest and conviction of Kendu Petties

This installment of On the Record talks about a 2014 double homicide in Cedar Rapids.
Kendu Petties, 33, was convicted in March by a Linn County jury on two counts of first-degree murder and one count of conspiracy to commit a forcible felony. Petties killed Sierrah Simmons, 20, and Quintrell Perkins, 22 in the home of Perkins' father.
Petties was sentenced Friday to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
The guest today is First Assistant Linn County Attorney Nick Maybanks, who prosecuted the case. Maybanks will provide some insight on the investigation and explain why this case too so long in getting to trial.
