The Iowa Photo: Lining up perfectly
The Gazette offers audio versions of articles using Instaread. Some words may be mispronounced.
One technique that makes a photograph more visually interesting is to layer foreground and background elements. In this photo from the annual Iowa Chase Regatta last weekend, I noticed the gaps between the leaves of a tree on the shore were roughly the same size as the rowers competing in the event. With a little bit of luck and a high number of frames per second, I was able to get a photo where all eight rowers just about lined up in between the leaves.
