The Iowa Photo: A break in the action
Tournaments are a blur. Deadlines are tight, action comes thick and fast. We don’t always get to make the images we want because our responsibility lies in capturing the action and the results. However, with all this in mind, we as photographers can’t forget to stop, take a breath, and always remember that there are quiet moments around us, no matter how much energy and excitement is in the room. Noticing the Hawkeyes’ Emilie Gonzalez collecting herself before her quarterfinal match was a great reminder that sometimes I need to do the same.
