Alex Barloon of Iowa City paints a mural on a retaining wall along Brown Street in Iowa City on Thursday. Barloon conceived of and is executing the Northside Neighborhood volunteer project through funding by Resilient Sustainable Future for Iowa City. The mural features numerous Iowa City landmarks including Public Space 1, Old Capitol, Kinnick Stadium, the Ped Mall and Van Allen Hall in a multicolored arrow leading up the hill.
